The House System
There are four houses at Wells Central and each child and member of staff belongs to one of these.
Each House has two school captains who help their house and assist in running the Tuesday House meetings. To promote positive behaviour work marks and conduct marks are awarded by staff and collated on each child’s House point sheet.
Order marks are awarded for misbehaviour and one of these means the removal of a house point from the weekly total.
During the Friday Assembly children with the highest House points are awarded the accolade of Central Star and are presented with a certificate celebrating their achievement.
Once a child has received twenty five house points in a term they become a Gold Star Badge holder for the following term. These children are our ambassadors when we have visitors to the school, and have opportunities to receive special privileges.
The House with the highest points at the end of term are given a special day of celebrations.
